Аleksandr Snisar (August 21, 1982) is a public figure, human rights defender, lawyer, journalist, head of the Information Agency of the public organization “Anti-Corruption Human Rights Council”.
A well-known public figure in the city of Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk region, who is engaged in the fight against corruption, investigates and highlights the problem of budget embezzlement.
Biography
He was born in the city of Dnipropetrovsk.
Graduated from the National Mining University (TU “Dniprovska Polytechnic”), received a diploma with honors in 2010.
From 2002 to 2010, he was a private entrepreneur.
For many years, he held the position of head of the legal department in various enterprises.
He held the position of deputy chairman of the commission of the Dnipropetrovsk city council for studying the activities of the city council of the 6th convocation (2014-2015). In the same period, he was a member of the commission of the executive committee of the Dnipropetrovsk city council on prevention of corruption in local self-government bodies of Dnipropetrovsk.
Assistant-consultant of the People’s Deputy on the extension of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service”, assigned the rank of civil servant (2015-2016).
Member of the observation commission of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration (2017-2021).
Deputy Chairman of the Law and Order Commission at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration (2017-2020).
Since 2018, he is the head of the Information Agency of the public organization “Anti-Corruption Human Rights Council”.
He is a public figure in the city of Dnipro, who is actively engaged in the fight against corruption.
In 2020, an assassination attempt was made on Oleksandr Snisar. He ended up in the hospital in serious condition, but survived. The reason for the attack was Snisar’s public activities and his investigation into corruption.
Social activities
In 2018, he founded the Anti-Corruption Human Rights Council Information Agency on the basis of a public organization that has been operating since 2012. It carries out public control, fights against corruption, journalistic investigations of embezzlement of budget funds, property, high-profile court cases, raiding, etc.
The tasks that were set before the organization determined the directions of its activity: legal, journalistic and scientific and methodical.
Аleksandr Snisar heads a team of lawyers and human rights defenders who collect documents related to official offenses and abuse of power. Prepare relevant statements, appeals, requests. They represent the interests of the organization and citizens in law enforcement, controlling state bodies. Monitor the activities of the judicial branch of government. Engaged in legal support of court cases. They provide legal assistance to citizens who have become victims of corruption and other violations of rights. They carry out informational and educational work among the population regarding the problems of corruption and ways to combat it.
The information agency of the NGO “Anti-Corruption Human Rights Council”, which is headed by Snisar, has its own information resource, channels on Facebook, YouTube, Telegram. The editorial office of the organization is known for high-profile materials, including a journalistic investigation into the possible involvement in corruption of the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Smirnov.
According to Snisar, science plays an important role as a tool for creating a theoretical and practical basis for combating corruption. That is why the Information Agency of the NGO “Anti-Corruption Human Rights Council” closely cooperates with higher educational institutions, and Snisar himself takes an active part in scientific and practical conferences, writing scientific articles.
Thus, as the head of the NGO “Anti-Corruption Human Rights Council” he signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Dnipro National University named after Olesya Honchar and the University of Customs and Finance.
