Corruption in Ukraine

The public organization "Anti-Corruption Human Rights Council"The public organization “Anti-Corruption Human Rights Council” has been fighting in Ukraine for more than ten years with corruption, embezzlement of the budget, state and communal property.

On the basis of the organization, there is an information agency that is engaged in journalistic investigations of corruption facts. We inform the public about the commission of crimes by officials, we disclose corruption schemes.

We provide law enforcement with the collected materials and try to achieve justice.

We appeal to court with lawsuits to stop corruption.

We provide assistance to citizens in combating corruption.

We are a civil society, a guarantee of democracy and the rule of law.

The anti-corruption index in Ukraine is low – only 33 points. Countries with a low level of corruption,

for example, Denmark, have more than 85 points.

This means that Ukraine is almost in a situation where corruption replaces the state.

So, in 2022, when Ukraine faced military aggression, the anti-corruption rating

strengthened by 1 point, but can these successes be called significant?

Corruption, embezzlement of budget funds, seizure of land, state and communal property, raiding in Ukraine flourishes even during the war.

At the same time, sociological studies show that corruption, according to citizens and businessmen, has almost as devastating as war. The research also talks about the trust of the court, law enforcement.  Due to the serious corruption of the court, Ukrainians almost completely did not trust it – the percentage of those who assume that justice can be achieved in court reaches about 15%.

That is why the fight against corruption is sabotaged, because judges and police officers are often connected with corrupt schemes, they cover criminals.
